VCDS, and other modules the factory tank is to small to support the raising of the suspension, thus turning on the compressor to help assist with raising the car. This upgrade will help take stress off the factory compressor but having the stored air capacity to lift the car off the capacity alone without the compressors aide. Car will also air up in about HALF the time from just having the capacity alone!
Everything is included for install, all you have to do is remove the factory tank and flip the airline around on the factory manifold and plug the airline into the new tank. The tank comes with a machined mount that bolts right to the battery tie down.
Tank is a Seamless aluminum 3 Gallon tank with 5 1/4" ports for if you want to add anything else down the road (aftermarket external compressor, airlines, etc)
This Setup WILL work on aftermarket air suspension kits The main problem is included tanks sent with other kits (Airlift, Etc) will not fit in the spare tire location if you have factory Bang & Oulfsen OR have a A7/S7/RS7 as the factory subwoofer is in the location a tank would fit. Our tank is narrow enough while still getting the 3 Gallon capacity to fit in the well without removing the factory subwoofer!
You WILL NOT be able to run a spare tire with this setup.
