Description
The all-new Garrett PowerMax GT2260S direct fit turbocharger is the ultimate MQB platform turbocharger upgrade for those who are looking for a direct fit, cost effective turbo that is capable of up to 500HP. The reinforced and efficient journal bearing design allows for a quicker spool than most hybrid journal bearing turbochargers rated with a similar output.
The Garrett GT2260S is capable of an overall approximately 20% greater output than the IS38 turbochargers found on the VW Golf R and Audi S3 with little to no increase in turbo lag. Finally there is a turbocharger capable of a 500HP output that is reliable and can easily be driven on the street daily.
The turbocharger is a direct fit part, meaning it attaches directly to the 1.8T/2.0T MQB motors without the need for any adapters, hardware or any fabrication. The turbocharger includes the electronic wastegate actuator and arrives ready for installation.
