Why are the Factory Intake & Turbo Inlet Insufficient:
An upgraded intake system is critical when looking to optimize the performance of your twin-turbocharged Audi B9/B9.5 RS4 or RS5. The factory intake system consists of a restrictive paper filter housed in a small, enclosed airbox that requires frequent replacement. This airbox is then connected with a corrugated plastic hose to the insufficiently sized turbo inlet, causing turbulence and further restriction as air travels through the factory intake system. While some opt to upgrade the factory airbox alone, this removes some but not all restrictions and shortcomings within the intake system.
The factory turbo inlet has a peak internal diameter of 66mm at the opening, which is quickly split in half and divided between the two turbochargers evenly. Because of this design, the cross-sectional area for airflow through the factory turbo inlet is reduced, resulting in inadequate airflow and lower velocity as air enters the turbochargers. This design was likely engineered this way for cost-savings to keep manufacturing costs lower.
What Does All This Restriction Mean for Performance?
When your turbochargers generate boost under acceleration, they need ample airflow to meet the target boost level commanded by the ECU—regardless of the intake or turbochargers installed. If a restrictive intake, such as the factory system, is installed, it can cause airflow deficiencies that force the ECU must compensate to maintain the target turbocharger boost levels. This is typically achieved by increasing the Wastegate Duty Cycle (WGDC), which puts additional demand on the turbochargers to reach those target boost levels. Much like sucking air in through a straw, you will find it easier to suck in more air through a larger straw as opposed to a smaller, more restrictive straw. Similarly, the turbochargers must work extra hard to make up for this lack of airflow.
As the turbochargers work harder, they generate higher compressor and exhaust turbine temperatures, resulting in hotter turbochargers and intake temperatures.
These inefficiencies and restrictions that the turbochargers must overcome and compensate for due to an insufficient intake system can reduce your engine's power output and generate increased heat, whether your RS4 or RS5 is stock, tuned, or utilizes upgraded hybrid turbochargers.
The SüperDüper Turbo Inlet & Maximizing Air Flow With the S34 Intake System:
When designing the S34 SüperDüper Insuction Bundle, 034Motorsport Engineers were tasked with designing a system that fits seamlessly in the engine bay and is capable of supporting 1000+ horsepower with the turbos of tomorrow. The S34 SüperDüper Insuction Bundle is the ideal upgrade for eliminating restrictions present with stock turbochargers and hybrid turbochargers, a critical step in enhancing performance. By reducing these restrictions, the S34 Carbon Fiber Intake System improves turbocharger efficiency, leading to lower heat production and optimized performance.
S34 SüperDüper Carbon Fiber Intake Shield:
034Motorsport focuses on optimizing every aspect of the intake system across a broad range of variables and compromises. A critical component of a high-flowing performance intake is the ability for air to flow around and into the filter. If the air cannot flow freely around the filter, it will be restricted from getting into it. Many aftermarket kits fit too large of a filter in an enclosure that cannot accommodate its size, thus choking the filter and reducing its overall flow. This often happens when a product is engineered for one variable at the expense of others.
034Motorsport engineers conducted extensive tests and refined the development of the S34 Intake Shield design to enable maximum airflow around the air filter, ensuring optimal airflow to and through the filter. The final result is the S34 SüperDüper Carbon Fiber Intake Shield, which offers optimal fitment within the RS4 & RS5 engine bay, allowing for maximum airflow and performance while perfectly balancing styling; the ultimate goal of any intake system.
The S34 Carbon Fiber Intake Shield integrates an air scoop to redirect cool air from the OE integrated air inlet guide efficiently into the massive SüperDüper Air Filter, while maintaining the necessary clearance to allow for the massive SüperDüper Turbo Inlet
PERFORMANCE SüperDüper AIR FILTER & ADAPTER:
TheS34 SüperDüper Insuction Bundle houses a high-flow conical SüperDüper Air Filter with a double-layer pleated cotton filtration medium capable of trapping particles as small as 5 Microns. The SüperDüper air filter design offers increased flow through an enlarged filtration surface while ensuring superior filtration. Tested in applications exceeding 1000HP, this filter delivers minimal restriction and OEM-quality air filtration. With over 2,000 CFM of airflow capacity, the SüperDüper Air Filter ensures unrestricted performance for RS4s and RS5s equipped with the S34 SüperDüper Insuction Bundle. The SüperDüper Air Filter is also able to be washed and cleaned utilizing the 034Motorsport Air Filter Cleaning Kit, allowing for lower maintenance costs compared to the factory intake system.
The SüperDüper Air Filter is seamlessly connected to the SüperDüper Turbo Inlet through a carbon fiber inlet transition pipe, ensuring a smooth transition of airflow into the turbo inlet. This transition pipe is CFD-optimized to further increase the air velocity into the turbo inlet. This transition pipe also carefully positions the SüperDüper Air Filter in the perfect location to reduce unnecessary filter shrouding between the headlight, hood, and S34 Carbon Fiber Intake Shield to offer restrictionless flow.
S34 SüperDüper Carbon Fiber Turbo Inlet:
The SüperDüper Turbo Inlet offers the ultimate in performance and airflow improvements over the factory turbo inlet. 034Motorsport engineers designed several prototypes, refining each iteration to maximize airflow and air velocity, increase volume, and refine fitment. Starting with a high-definition 3D scan of the engine bay & factory intake system, 034Motorsport engineers begin designing by designing and optimizing the S34 Intake System for precision engineering of fit. Once the intake has taken its basic shape, advanced CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis is utilized to refine the airflow and air velocity of the SüperDüper Turbo Inlet for peak performance. Using rapid prototyping techniques such as 3D printing, 034Motorsport then verified these improvements and further optimized the design with on-car fitment and airflow performance validation with our in-house SuperFlow Test Bench. The resulting SüperDüper Turbo Inlet offers restrictionless flow to the turbochargers and maximized air velocity while offering perfect fit and finish within the engine bay of the RS4 and RS5.
Using CAD software and 3D scanning technology, 034Motorsport optimized the Turbo Inlet's cross-sectional area while being mindful of space constraints. The SüperDüper Turbo Inlet utilizes a massive 100mm internal diameter opening that tapers smoothly to the equally impressive 58mm turbo connections, ensuring optimal airflow to the turbochargers.
Utilizing this CFD modeling and advanced on-vehicle testing with external sensors, 034Motorsport engineers also maximized the efficiency of the PCV connection, ensuring that maximum vacuum is retained for adequate crankcase ventilation. Improper placement of this connection can worsen PCV performance, causing unnecessary pressure imbalance and compromising the operation of the crankcase ventilation system.
Due to the immense size of the Turbo Inlet, 034Motorsport Engineers designed taller 6061-T6 billet aluminum engine cover mounts. These mounts ensure secure fitment of the engine cover without interference, maintaining both performance and a clean, factory-like appearance. 034Motorsport also includes a new oil cap filler surround to ensure a clean and OEM fit with the taller engine cover mounts.
Turbo Adapter Flanges:
The SüperDüper Inlet Pipe is mated to 6061-T6 billet aluminum Turbo Adapter Flanges utilizing 4-ply silicone hose. These Turbo Adapter Flanges are specifically designed for each unique turbocharger set to generate a smooth transition of airflow into the turbocharger and enhance airflow velocity. The interchangeable Turbo Adapter Flanges for the stock turbochargers are included with the S34 SüperDüper Insuction Bundle, with optional TTE720 Adapter Flanges available separately.
The adapter flanges make the installation and removal of the SüperDüper Turbo Inlet easier than ever. From the factory, unique and special tools are required to loosen and remove the OE turbo inlet due to the tight space constraints. With these Turbo Adapter Flanges, users can more easily remove the entire intake system with easily accessible hose clamps. You can loosen two hose clamps rather than fight with hidden bolts underneath the intake system!

Return and Exchange Policy
The Return & Exchange Policy below outlines our current terms. While we try to adhere strictly to the guidelines detailed below, there are always exceptions to the rules, please speak to a BMP Tuning Customer Support Representative for clarification on anything you might have questions about - contact us.
Order Cancellations
Order Cancellation Hours of Operation
- All order cancellations are processed during regular business hours only. Any order cancellation requests made outside of normal business hours will be processed during the next business day.
Order Cancellation Fees
- Any cancelled orders including orders that have not shipped will be subject to a 5% cancellation fee to offset order processing fees that are not refunded to BMP Tuning by financial institutions and fee is waived completely if store credit is requested.
- Cancellation fee applies to any order regardless of stock status, please contact BMP Tuning if there are any questions regarding stock status before placing an order.
- If an order has already been processed or shipped and BMP Tuning is unable to cancel the order, the customer will be responsible for returning the item to us once received. Once the return is received it will be processed like any other return and be subject to the "Return and Exchange Policy" listed below.
- Certain products sold cannot be cancelled after the order has been placed due to agreements with the manufacturer, or in the case of made to order/custom items. This may be noted in the product description, but feel free to contact us to make sure before ordering.
- Any order placed via Katapult are non-refundable; refunds, if required, will be issued via store credit only.
Return & Exchange Policy
Domestic Orders
- BMP Tuning will accept returns for unused products within 1 year/365 Days from the date of purchase.
- Returned products must be new, unused, and must be in the original packaging, including labeling, manuals, hardware, etc. Special order items are non-refundable.
- Returns will NOT be processed for any received products without the proper RMA Form completed and included with the return, customer will also be responsible for return shipping to their original shipping address.
- Returns beyond 60 days of original purchase once processed can only be refunded as BMP Tuning store credit.
- In the case of an exchange, BMP Tuning will waive normal restocking fees and only collect for original shipping of the returned product unless otherwise stated by a BMP Tuning Customer Service Representative when requesting your RMA number.
- Once store credit has been issued for a return, it is final and cannot be reversed or exchanged for a refund to your original payment method at a later time. Please ensure you are comfortable with receiving store credit before completing your return.
- Contact us within 7 days of delivery if an item has arrived damaged or incorrectly so that we can rectify the situation with the responsible party. Any notifications past 7 days from delivery could cause issues with replacement and BMP Tuning is not liable for any mis-shipments or damaged items if notified past the 7th day.
- Once delivered to shipping address provided, packages are customer’s responsibility—consider requesting a signature upon delivery or insuring your order with Route.
International Orders
- New, unopened products can be returned within 60 days of purchase.
- Opened/used products and Scratch & Dent parts cannot be returned.
- Contact us within 7 days if your item is damaged upon receipt.
- Once delivered, packages are customer’s responsibility—signature confirmation is available upon request.
- Any international orders that are refused at the time of delivery will be subject to carrier abandonment of the package, at which time the ordered products would be discarded by the carrier. The customer will not be refunded for the value of the order and the discarded products are no longer retrievable.
Return Fees & Shipping:
- Customer is responsible for a 20% restocking fee, original shipping, and return shipping.
- In instances where the customer received FREE shipping, the shipping amount that BMP Tuning paid on behalf of the customer will be deducted from the total refund.
- BMP Tuning's restocking fee is waived in the instance customer requests store credit as long as the item is being returned to BMP Tuning and not the manufacture directly.
- Any orders that are returned to BMP Tuning as refused by receiver or non-deliverable will be subject to a return handling fee and will be processed as a return in compliance with our "Return and Exchange Policy", including a 20% restocking fee.
- Any returns that are denied for any reason will be sent back to the customer at the customers expense. Any denied return left with BMP Tuning longer than 30 days is considered forfeited by the customer and will be disposed of by BMP Tuning at BMP Tuning's discretion.
- Any order placed via Katapult are non-refundable; refunds, if required, will be issued via store credit only.
Route Shipping Protection - Refunds & Cancellations
- Route shipping protection is an insurance purchased for your shipment. Because of this, any protection on items that have already been shipped cannot be refunded.
- If your order is cancelled PRIOR to the items shipping, then the Route purchase can be refunded with the cancelled item(s). Once the order has shipped, we cannot refund the Route shipping protection.
Tariffs & Duties – No Refund Upon Return
- BMP Tuning is not responsible for any tariffs, duties, or import fees charged by customs authorities or shipping carriers.
- If you return an item, any tariff or duty you paid at delivery will not be refunded by BMP Tuning, as those are non-refundable government charges.
- Refunds for returned items will be limited to the cost of the product (minus applicable fees), not including any tariffs or duties originally paid.
- Please ensure you understand your country’s import fee obligations prior to ordering.
- If you have questions about potential tariffs, duties, or returns, contact us before placing your order—we’re happy to assist.

There are absolutely no returns on any product sold as "Scratch & Dent", "Open Box", or "Clearance."
Pricing Or Photo Errors
- While we always try to provide the most accurate product and pricing information, we are humans and can make mistakes. If we listed an incorrect price or information for any product on our site, BMP Tuning reserves the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed.
