Description
The APR Billet Stainless-Steel Dogbone / Subframe Mount Insert limits driveline movement, which helps to minimize wheel-hop and torque steer. This provides a more direct driving experience by eliminating slop in the driveline and does so without introducing excessive or uncomfortable driveline vibration and noise.
The APR insert is created from thick, billet, stainless-steel. All mounts will slightly deform under use, but unlike all other units created from rubber, polyurethane, and even billet-aluminum, the APR unit will not heavily deform to the point of failure. Rest assured this simple upgrade will last the test of time, unlike others, and packs a limited lifetime warranty against cracking!
We offer the mount in two different configurations depending on the style of your factory mount. Be sure to check your subframe mount before purchase, and remember to always replace your factory 1-time use subframe bolt!

Modest, Humble upgrade
For the price of a high quality dance and a drink at your favorite night club, you can improve your ride to give you the deep tingles that Roxi could. Firm shifting, reduced driveline slop, tight handling- all ingredients for a wonderful driving experience. Opposed to other insert made from urethane or aluminum, you won’t have to worry about packing or cracking. Just rock hard performance on a daily basis.
Easy install
Installed much easier than I expected. Slight increase in interior noise but it’s not broken in yet.
Amazing
Worth every penny. Before installation my brand new GTI would wheel hop and shake even when just trying to take off from a stop on a not so great road, especially when wet. You can also feel the engine loading and unloading on the crummy rubber mounts at low speeds. This insert fixed the wheel hop and made the car feel solid when stopping and going and taking off. Plus it's stainless so I have piece of mind it won't break. Installation was easy and the very minor vibrations the insert induced in the cabin are quickly forgotten once you feel how good the car drives with this thing in it.
APR Dogbone insert!!
I’ll keep it short and to the point. Installed both for the GTI and the R my gf and I own... wish I got this when I got our cars! Slight vibrations BUT more smooth sporty feel. Definitely helps when you add more power too. Super easy install
