Description
Racingline's Magnetic Oil Sump Drain Plug is now available for the 1.8 & 2.0 TSI EA888 gen3 and 2.0 TSI gen3B engines. These engines use a plastic oil pan, meaning that normal metal, screw-in sump plugs simply cant be used. Our new True-Lock fitting system means that, at last, you can protect your engine.
Features:
- Prevents metal particles from circulating into lubrication system
- Designed to keep up with harder working engines
- True-Lock fitting works with a simple quarter-turn to install the plug
- Lifetime use plug only requires change of O-Ring at each service

Quality piece, doesn't fit 2021 GTIs
As usual with Racingline, the quality is top-notch and the fitment is perfect. Three stars only because it doesn't work with the 2021 GTI even though it shows up when you filter by car. I should have checked the Racingline site where it says it only first up to 2020, but I assumed VW wouldn't change the oil pan for the final model year... and that's what I get for assuming. Of note, the retaining washer is plastic and can split if you don't align it properly and it appears Racingline doesn't offer that piece separately. Shouldn't be an issue on one of the model years it fits, but it was something I noted. 10/10 would recommend unless you have a 2021 GTI
