With the TyrolSport Deadset kit you can finally eliminate the subframe clunk that plagues every Mk5/Mk6 VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda chassis. The clunk manifests itself as a pop or a creak, especially when turning into sloped driveways, or when stopping/starting. VAG has issued a Technical Service Bulletin(TSB) for this problem. The TSB has your dealership replace the subframe bolts and install new friction shims. This TSB fix does not last long, as it does not address the root cause of the clunk. It is not long before the clunking returns. Tyrolsport has a true solution that works long term, is easy to install, and cost effective.
Tyrolsport has developed custom locating collars to ensure the subframe stays in place and does not shift under load. The collars are machined out of 954 Bronze alloy for the ultimate strength and corrosion resistance. The use of 954 is critical to prevent galvanic corrosion, and also adds needed lubricity. Tyrolsport spent a significant amount of time during R&D process in order to choose the absolute best material for this application. Each collar is machined for a specific location on the subframe, and includes dual-sided machining for a perfect fit. The dual-sided machining is necessary for exactly locating the subframe. The collars also have unique recessed features to positively locate the bolt head. This is critical to functionality.
Once the subframe is located perfectly, it must be held in place. The failure of the OEM stretch bolts is another reason for the clunking subframe, and they must be replaced. Tyrolsport has worked with world-renowned fastener company ARP to develop custom hardware for this application. We were able to develop a TyrolSport exclusive bolt that exceeds the OEM tensile strength, yet mimics the OEM hardware in shear. Some of the proprietary features of these exclusive fasteners are a carefully specified thread engagement area, and a chamfered “bull nose” tip. The bull nose tip helps locate the bolt to the body, and makes the installation process a breeze. Without this bull nose, aligning and installing a subframe deadset kit is much more difficult, and prone to thread stripping. It is the combination of collars and this hardware that makes the Tyrolsport Deadset kit so successful in solving the subframe clunk.

***ORDER CANCELLATIONS***
All order cancellations are processed during regular business hours only. Any order cancellation requests made outside of business hours will be processed during the next business day.
Any cancelled orders including orders that have not shipped will be subject to a 3.5% cancellation fee to offset order processing fees that are not refunded to BMP Tuning. Additionally, if your order has already shipped, you may incur additional fees if the shipment needs to be recalled and/or rerouted back to BMP Tuning.
Some products sold cannot be cancelled after the order has been placed due to agreements with the manufacturer, or in the case of made to order/custom items. This will be noted in the product description.
Please note: Cancellations made after hours, on the weekend, or on a holiday may not be processed for cancellation prior to the order being processed and shipped.
***RETURNS AND EXCHANGES***
BMP Tuning will accept returns for UNUSED merchandise in original packaging within 1 YEAR from the time of purchase!
UNUSED products in ORIGINAL PACKAGING that are RETURNED WITHIN 60 DAYS of purchase are eligible for a refund to the original payment method used.
UNUSED products in ORIGINAL PACKAGING returned PAST THE 60 DAY MARK and within the 1 year return period are eligible for store credit only. After 60 days, non-stocked items will be accepted at the discretion of BMP Tuning.
UNUSED products MUST BE IN ORIGINAL PACKAGING, containing all accessories, labels, and documentation.
**CUSTOMERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ORIGINAL AND RETURN*** ***SHIPPING EXPENSES**
The customer is responsible for the return shipping costs/fees – original shipping fees are NON-REFUNDABLE and items shipped with FREE shipping will still be subject to actual shipping charges being NON-REFUNDABLE. BMP Tuning is not responsible for damage to items being returned to us by the shipping carrier and will contact you so that you can file a claim if an item arrives damaged.
Any returned item is subject to a fee of up to 15%.
Restocking fees are WAIVED in the event of a customer receiving a damaged / incorrect product.
KATAPULT: Katapult does not allow us to issue partial refunds. Katapult orders that are cancelled prior to fulfilment will be refunded 100% directly through Katapult. For Returns: Any Katapult purchases that require a partial refund will be given back to the customer as a store credit. No restocking fees will be deducted. However, the original shipping costs on the order will be deducted and the customer will also be responsible for the shipping costs to return item(s) to BMP Tuning.

If you need to return an item that does not fit your vehicle and you feel that there is an error in our listing, please contact us immediately. If we find an error on our website or on behalf of a BMP Tuning Representative, we will provide a shipping label for your return and arrange proper shipment of the correct items.
ALL PRODUCTS MUST STILL BE NEW CONDITION IN THE ORIGINAL BOXES, INCLUDING LABELING, HARDWARE, AND DOCUMENTATION.
Customers are responsible for checking the product description for applications prior to ordering anything from our site to verify that the items you have selected are appropriate for your vehicle. Items ordered that are listed correctly on our website but ordered in error WILL REQUIRE SHIPPING TO BE PAID BY THE CUSTOMER.
***DAMAGED/MISSING ITEMS IN SHIPMENT***
If you receive a package that is missing items or was damaged during shipment, please contact BMP Tuning WITHIN 10 DAYS OF DELIVERY. Please check all items as they are delivered! Be sure to keep all packing material, boxes and photos of the damage as this will be necessary to complete the damage claim with the specific courier. UPS/FED EX Typically take 8-15 business days to complete their investigation, however, this time frame could be extended depending on circumstances.
